EVILBANE community
The official EVILBANE Discord is the first place announcements land and where the bug-report channel lives. Steam discussions and the Netmarble game site are the other two official channels.

The EVILBANE community is still small and it lives in three official places. Because the game has not launched and the only public build so far was a five-day playtest, almost all of the discussion is about the test, the anti-cheat, the AI content disclosure and the missing release date.
Official channels
| Channel | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Official EVILBANE Discord (discord.gg/CHZtP8Htne) | First place announcements land; also hosts the bug-report channel and the CM/PD Q&A |
| Steam community hub for app 3718160 | Discussions, screenshots, artwork, guides and the playtest threads |
| Netmarble game site (evilbane.netmarble.com) | Official game page with notification sign-up and platform links |
| Steam news feed | Where the playtest schedule, content summary and developer notes were published |
The official posts are explicit that test news reaches the Discord first and that the community team reads messages there. If you want bug reports to reach the developers, the Discord bug-report channel is the documented route.
What the community is actually arguing about
The Steam discussions during the playtest window had 20 active topics, and they clustered tightly:
- The AI generated content disclosure. The store page states generative AI was used in a supplementary capacity for some background object assets, UI icons, some localisation elements and voice, reviewed and refined by the team. It is the loudest thread on the forum, and it is a real disclosure on the store page rather than a rumour.
- Kernel-level Easy Anti-Cheat. The store page warns the anti-cheat requires manual removal after uninstall, and at least one thread calls that a dealbreaker.
- Netmarble's terms and privacy policy, raised as reading-before-you-buy.
- The missing release date, which produces the recurring "is the game dead?" thread even though the game had an active public test this month.
- No class system. Players arriving from class-based action RPGs ask for a mage; the answer is that EVILBANE builds are loadout-based.
- Linux and platform support. A live request with no announced plan.
- Playtest invitations, particularly how to get one and how long approval takes.
Worth knowing before you post
- Read the playtest FAQ first. Most of the questions on the forum are answered there — lock-on behaviour, stamina, Magic Ammo, Heavenstone limits, Operation unlocks and the data wipe.
- Report crashes with the build context. The documented first fix is switching to DX11, so mention whether you tried it.
- Do not expect a price or a date. Neither has been announced, in any channel, at any point.

Finding people to play with
Because Operations take up to four players and the game has no text chat, the practical route to a group is:
- Join the official Discord — the natural place to line up a squad before launch.
- Use Private Operations once in game: create one, share the Entry Code outside the game, and have each player join with it.
- Remember the friend-list requirement. During the first playtest, invite codes could only be sent to accounts that had been friends for at least 30 days, so the group you want has to exist ahead of a test.
Events and rewards
The first playtest ran a survey event: complete the in-game survey at the Headquarters, register through Discord, and your name appears in the in-game Credits under Special Thanks. Small, but it documents the pattern that community participation during a test is acknowledged in the shipped game.
